Richelle Seki - RMT, Massage + Movement Coach, Owner + Operator at Capria Care Collective

I founded Capria Care Collective in Coquitlam in 2022 to create a space where people can receive expert, compassionate care during life’s transformative moments—whether that’s pregnancy, postpartum, or navigating gender-affirming treatment.

Prenatal, Postpartum, and Gender-Affirming Care: I’ve dedicated significant training and clinical hours to prenatal and postpartum massage, studying extensively with Paula Jaspar and treating hundreds of clients through pregnancy and the postpartum period. My practice also supports individuals navigating gender-affirming care, including post-surgical recovery, chest binding discomfort, and gender-inclusive bodywork.

Movement-Based Practice and Whole-Body Integration:

Certified in Clinical Pilates through Kobi Jack and Larissa Vashniakoff, I approach treatment through a whole-body lens. Pain in one area often can often originate elsewhere—back pain may stem from tension in the shoulders or legs, while shoulder discomfort might indicate dysfunction at the neck. I look at how your body moves and functions as a complete system rather than treating isolated symptoms or body parts.

My training in “Female Pelvis: Female Issues” with Heather Gittens expanded my practice to incorporate abdominal massage for low back pain, hip stiffness, sacroiliac pain, difficult or irregular menses, pelvic pain, and urinary symptoms. This approach recognizes how deeply the pelvis connects to overall body function.

Movement is integral to my practice, but I’m not giving you a 30-minute routine you might not be able to fit into your life. I like to find the minimum effective dose, a Pilates exercise, a stretch, some strengthening, or foam rolling, and make it fit into your current routines. I give you movements you can do in bed or on the floor while your kids play around you. Sustainable relief comes from teaching your body to move more efficiently, and that only works if it’s actually doable.

In my prenatal and postpartum work, I ask a lot of questions. I want to know about your physical experience—this pregnancy, past pregnancies, deliveries, losses, everything. Every piece of information helps me create a treatment plan that’s tailored perfectly to your body and what it’s been through. At Capria, we have all the pillows and bolsters to make you genuinely comfortable—because feeling safe and supported matters just as much as the hands-on work.

LGBTQIA+ Friendly Space:

Capria Care Collective is committed to providing safe, welcoming care for queer, trans, and non-binary individuals. We respect and celebrate diverse identities, offering specialized support for post-operative care, chest binding recovery, and gender-affirming massage therapy.

Approach to Care:

My practice prioritizes open communication, ongoing consent, and regular check-ins throughout treatment. I assess and reassess as we work together, providing maintenance exercises and stretches when they support your goals. This is a judgment-free environment focused entirely on your comfort and well-being.

Capria Care Collective Services:

Our team offers remedial massage therapy, acupuncture, pelvic floor physiotherapy, kinesiology, and naturopathic medicine (coming soon - hopefully), all grounded in body-neutral, socially just care that honors each person’s unique journey.

Bill Xu - R. TCM.P, R. Acu,

Bill (He/They) is a queer care worker and community organizer who brings a deep commitment to justice, rest, and collective care into every treatment. Their practice is explicitly queer and trans-affirming, body-positive, trauma-informed, and justice-oriented.

Training and Approach:

A graduate of Tzu Chi International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Bill has advanced training in scalp acupuncture modalities (YNSA and CSA) for acute and chronic injury, and has studied pulse diagnosis with Dr. Fan Ying Zhi at the Guang Zhou Zheng-An TCM Academy. Bill is also a Jikiden Reiki practitioner and teacher (Shihankaku), which they practice separately from their TCM work. Bill’s practice centers queer and trans folks navigating stress-related ailments—anxiety, grief, digestive concerns, and chronic pain—with a gentle approach that supports your body in learning to rest again. They bring particular expertise to menstrual and fertility care through a queer and trans/gender-affirming lens, understanding that these concerns show up differently across gender identities and lived experiences.

Advocacy Roots:

Before entering care work, Bill spent years organizing around climate justice, anti-racism, and HIV/Hep-C harm reduction. In 2018, burnout forced them to reckon with an important truth: community organizing doesn’t just happen at the community level—it happens within ourselves too. Being cared for by others taught Bill that another world is possible, one where we take good care of each other, meet our needs, and feel safe enough to soften.

That realization shapes everything about their practice now. Chinese Medicine understands the body through the lens of the land and world around us—bodies have cycles and rhythms, just like the earth does. Bill has learned to honor those rhythms, meeting each patient exactly where they’re at.

Who Bill Works With:

Bill’s practice is a safe(er) space for queer and trans folks across all aspects of care. They work with:

Folks navigating stress, anxiety, grief, and shame Digestive concerns, especially when tied to stress or mood Menstrual and fertility concerns from a queer and trans/gender-affirming perspective Community organizers and builders looking to ground and return to their bodies

What to Expect:

Bill is committed to finding the root of your concerns—whether personal, interpersonal, or systemic—and walking alongside you in learning and unlearning what it means to live in our bodies, be with each other, and move through these times. This is a space where your gender identity is respected, your body is honored, and your experience is centered.

Life Outside the Clinic:

When not working, Bill is exploring quirky teas, roller dancing at the rink, or hiking somewhere in the mountains. They’re also pursuing birth and death doula training to better support patients through major life transitions.

Bill works: Thursday: 2-8pm Saturday: 12-5pm

Passionate about helping patients achieve better alignment and movement, Lauren excels in working on the deep muscles of the upper chest and back. She finds joy in helping clients discover and release tightness they never knew existed, believing that the back’s intricate network of muscles is key to overall well-being.

Vika earned her Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne, Australia, before returning to her BC roots. She believes in treating you—not just your symptoms.

Her passion is helping folks with concussion, vestibular, balance, and falls‑related symptoms. With advanced training in this area, Vika uses a comprehensive framework to uncover each person’s unique concussion/vestibular profile and build custom rehab plans that feel right for your life.

Because sport and movement have always been part of her story, Vika also embraces a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions. She weaves together manual therapy, dry needling, targeted exercise prescription, and patient education to help you rewire movement patterns, restore function, and optimize performance.

She’s had the honour of working alongside Olympic and National-level athletes across rugby, karate, swimming, and hockey. Her interest in blending musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy has also taken her on the road with the Canadian Paralympic Swim Team at events like the World Championships, Pan Pacific Games, and Tokyo 2020.

Her clinical experience is broad and inclusive. She’s worked in acute and subacute neurological settings, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), amputee rehabilitation, acute medicine/surgery, intensive care, and paediatrics. All these environments taught her the value of adaptability, communication, and listening to the full person behind the injury.

Since becoming a parent herself, Vika has developed a special love and empathy for the pre‑ and postnatal population. That lived experience has sharpened her instincts, compassion, and clinical creativity—she’s become a stronger, more holistic clinician because of it.

Vika lives by Capria’s ethos of relaxed-but-effective care. Outside the clinic, you’ll find her hiking BC trails, running, lifting weights with performance in mind, or at the playground with her 2 kids.

Simon made the move from Ireland to BC in 2016. He spent his 20s in hotels and hospitality after getting his Bachelor of Business, but his real passion was always sports and staying active. In 2021, he enrolled at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy—turns out, helping people feel better in their bodies is exactly where he was meant to land.

Who He Works With:

Simon works with people dealing with chronic pain, stress that’s settled deep into your body, or recovering from an injury. He gets that showing up is already part of the work, and he’s here to meet you where you’re at.

He’ll use whatever technique makes sense for your body that day: Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, sports massage, or prenatal work. His goal is real, lasting relief you can feel in your day-to-day life.

How He Works:

Since graduating, Simon’s been building his practice in North Vancouver and recently made the move to Port Moody. With every session, he pays attention to what’s working—tracking your progress and adjusting based on what your body’s telling him. He’s all about continuous learning, whether through formal courses or just showing up fully present.

Simon loves being part of the Capria team and knows that sometimes the best care means looping in one of our physiotherapists, acupuncturists, or fellow RMTs.

Life Outside the Clinic: When he’s not working, Simon’s out golfing, snowboarding, or hanging with family and friends. He ran his first half marathon this past May and he’s already planning what’s next for 2026.

Simon’s all about creating space where you feel seen, safe, and respected—because that’s what Capria stands for, and it’s how he shows up every day.
